Melinda has been a powerfully spiritual Musician for many years now.  Her father and grandfather are renowned for being powerful evangelists and dutiful Pastors in the region.   Melinda has traveled the region accompanying her father and accompanying various church choirs. Melinda comes from a musical family.  Her mother, brother, and sister--all pianists--have helped to motivate her musical skill attenuation. Melinda began working for the Hopewell M. B. Church in December of 2003.  She has been a powerful asset to the Music Department through her vocal abilities, spirituality, and devotedness. December 2003, Melinda married George Jerrun Dawson.  They are living "happily ever" thereafter. Currently Melinda is an English teacher, secondary education, for a public school in the State of Mississisipp.
